Our Story.
Highlands Church has served the Crescenta Valley for generations. Today we’re building on that legacy by helping people find and follow Jesus together.
We believe God is still writing our story, and we’d love for you to be part of it.
Our Mission.
Helping People Find And Follow Jesus.
Everything we do flows from this mission.
Whether we’re gathering on Sundays, serving our neighbors, discipling the next generation, or sending missionaries around the world, our desire is to help people know Jesus and become more like Him.
What We Believe.
Every decision we make is shaped by a clear sense of purpose. Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.
-
We believe there is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who created all things, reigns over all things, and is worthy of all worship.
-
Jesus is the center of everything we do. We believe He is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, and Lord over all creation. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He offers forgiveness, new life, and the hope of eternity. We believe following Jesus changes everything.
-
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word and our trustworthy guide for faith and everyday life. Through Scripture we come to know God, understand His character, and learn what it means to faithfully follow Jesus together.
-
We believe new life begins when we encounter Jesus and continues as we walk with Him day by day. Salvation is God’s gracious gift, received through faith in Christ alone. In Him we are forgiven, made new, and welcomed into God’s family.
-
We believe the Church is God’s family, called to worship together, grow together, serve together, and show the world what God is like. We believe church isn’t something we attend—it’s a people we belong to, from here to heaven.
-
We believe the Holy Spirit is actively at work today—guiding, comforting, encouraging, and empowering God’s people. He transforms us from the inside out and gives us everything we need to faithfully follow Jesus.
Our Convictions.
Convictions are the core beliefs that shape who we are and how we live, anchoring us in what matters most. They are not about winning arguments, but about clarity and faithfulness—guiding how we worship, pray, serve, lead, and love.
-
Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God and reigns supreme over all creation. All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him.
-
God filled us with His Holy Spirit to guide, comfort, encourage, and empower us in every good work.
-
God has given us the Scriptures as His inspired Word and the trustworthy authority for our faith and the way we live.
-
When we speak to God through prayer in Jesus name, He promises to listen and respond. He brings change; often to circumstances, but always in us.
-
For all who confess Jesus as Lord, nothing can separate us from God’s love. The past has lost its power, and the future is held securely by Him.
-
There is no one too lost to be found. God wants all to know Him, to believe and be saved. Like a good father, God is always waiting with an open door and a table set.
-
Jesus calls the church His bride, making us family from here to heaven. There has never been a greater force for good in the world than His church.
-
The earth and everything in it belongs to the Lord - including us. Jesus promises to supply everything His church needs to be faithful.
-
There is no retirement age or permission slip in the kingdom of God. Each of us is created to uniquely reflect God’s glory in ways only we can.
-
God has entrusted us with these days for His glory and the good of others. We will not get more time—so we steward what we have with wisdom, intention, and courage.
